Time…don’t waste it
Hello there readers,
T.I.M.E. Is a funny thing isn’t it? Like, ya know how the days can feel long…but suddenly a year has gone by! How does that happen?? We all know a thing or two about time, but here is my perspective as of late.
Always take the time to do it, to see it, to hear it and to love it. The time you take is so worth it. We all get busy, and pulled into the grind of life and the obligations we must get done, but the people in your life are so important. Take the time for the cup of coffee with a good friend, or a late night visit with the younger version of yourself. An early morning phone call with a parent or family member. These things are time well spent. As we all know, time is not forever. Time is our wisest counselor though, and we learn so much through the time we give.
Over Memorial day weekend I had the privilege of spending time with my daughter Alexia. It was not your typical visit. It was for me to give my time through acts of love and service, which I honestly loved doing! All in a matter of 3 weeks she graduated with a BS, moved out of her house she has been in for the past couple of years and into an apartment. This moving happened as she started her accelerated Nursing Program at UW Madison. WOW, can you say crazy busy! I went there to hang things up in her bedroom, organize bins and boxes, clean, do laundry and just be in her space. Most of the time she was studying but the weight lifted for her as I got things done was visual. We had some great study breaks together and I left with my heart feeling so full. I got to give her my time and encouragement in this new chapter. It felt quick, but so beneficial for us both! If I am being honest...which I said I always would be, it was harder leaving her this past weekend than the day we left her as a Freshman. #SOPROUDOFHER!
Friends, take the T.I.M.E (Talk, Inspire, Make Memories, Encourage) for yourself and others. It makes us better people!
Lots of love and a little grit too,
Jennifer
